Munkar (2024) Movie Synopsis, The Story of a Bully Victim's Spirit Taking Revenge!

The story revolves around the ghostly figure of Herlina who wanders after being killed in an accident and wants to avenge her. During her life Herlina was a figure who was often the object of bullying by her friends at the boarding school, due to her strange personality.

Because every time she received bad behavior from her friends, instead of feeling hurt, she would laugh. One day when all the teachers and boarding school administrators held an evening class meeting.

Herlina actually intended to seek attention by stealing a valuable ring belonging to the wife of the Kyai, the caretaker of the pesantren there. After finding out that the ring was missing, all the students' bags were searched and finally the administrators found the ring in Herlina's bag.

After Herlina was caught stealing, instead of facing punishment, she decided to run away from the boarding school. But on the way, she got into a car accident and died.

The story is not over yet, Herlina who is no longer human returns to the boarding school, and causes terror and horrific events at the boarding school. What will happen next to Herlina?

The film, directed by Anggy Umbara, is a famous urban legend in Lamongan, East Java, and will be released on February 7, 2024 in theaters!
