Movie Storyline
The movie Break War (2024) begins with a scene of Zhou Zhi being arrested by the police for alleged fraud and corruption. Mo Yun who led Zhou Zhi's arrest was satisfied with the outcome, but he didn't realize that this was part of the "Free" terrorist organization's plan to undermine Hong Kong's financial value. Not long after, the "Free" terrorist organization committed another act of terror, which was to kidnap and kill 10 famous real estate bosses in Hong Kong overnight.
This caused Hong Kong's housing prices to drop by half and Hong Kong's real estate value to collapse. Mo Yun who gets the task to handle the case starts investigating the traces of the terrorist organization "Free" and discovers that they have a connection with Zhou Zhi. Meanwhile, Cheng Yu who works as an investigative journalist also takes an interest in the case of Zhou Zhi and the terrorist organization "Free".
He tries to contact Mo Yun, his ex-girlfriend, to ask for her help in uncovering Zhou Zhi's scandal. However, Mo Yun refuses to cooperate with Cheng Yu, as she still feels hurt by their breakup.
