Detective Conan The Movie: The Million-dollar Pentagram is the 27th movie in the Case Closed Detective Conan series after the movie Black Iron Submarine which aired in 2023. This 110-minute movie was written by Takahiro Okura and directed by Chika Nagaoka. The director who has also worked on many Detective Conan films.

The movie follows the story of Kaito Kid who plans to steal two wakizashi sword blades with ties to Shinsengumi deputy commander Toshizo Hijikata that are stored in a zaibatsu warehouse in Hakodate, Hokkaido. The police, especially Inspector Nakamori, who is pursuing Kid, is suspicious of Kid's unusual actions. Kid, who is usually always after big gems, is now after swords.

At the same time, a kendo tournament is being held in Hakodate, in which Heiji Hattori and Soji Okita are participating. Conan Edogawa, Ran Mouri, and Kazuha Toyama come to support Heiji. While at the kendo tournament venue, Kazuha meets Hijiri Fukushiro, a student who is doing his best performance. Besides the tournament, Heiji searches for beautiful places around Hakodate in order to successfully express his feelings to Kazuha while Ran who remembers about Shinichi's confession in London decides to propose Mount Hakodate to Heiji.

Meanwhile, Momiji Ooka, Kazuha's love rival who has feelings for Heiji, also visits Hokkaido by helicopter to support Heiji who is participating in the tournament. Realizing that Heiji is planning to reveal his feelings to Kazuha, he plans to thwart him.

On the day of the crime notification, Heiji catches Kid in disguise and attempts to corner Kid who escapes to the roof. Heiji recovered one of Kid's stolen swords and fought with it against Kid. He managed to corner Kid with his sword skills and cut Kid's hat, but was then surprised by Kid's face which looked like Shinichi Kudo. Kid took advantage of the moment to escape with one of his swords. While Heiji handed over the other sword he managed to save to the police.

Conan, Heiji, and friends' next journey becomes full of mystery when the body of a man who was killed with a cross-shaped wound on his chest is found. The incident makes Conan and Heiji wonder if Kaito Kid has a hand in this case.

However, this is just the beginning of a fierce battle for the Akie family treasure. Now, from the synopsis of Detective Conan: The Million Dollar Pentagram above, it looks like this Conan movie will present the perfect mix of intricate puzzles, exciting action involving several new characters, and a touch of Heiji-Kazuha drama that will keep Titipers from looking away from the screen. In addition, Titipers can also see Kaito Kid's real face, which is no less handsome than Shinichi. The 27th entry in the Detective Conan franchise is directed by Chika Nagaoka based on a script written by Takahiro Okura. Minami Takayama returns as Conan Edogawa's seiyuu, while Kappei Yamaguchi plays Shinichi Kudo and Kaito Kid.
