Synopsis of The Land of Happiness


The Land of Happiness focuses on Jung In Hoo (Jo Jung Suk). He is a lawyer who suddenly gets a client named Park Tae Joo (Lee Sun Kyun). His client is a soldier accused of being the mastermind behind the assassination of the South Korean president in 1979. On the other hand, Park Tae Joo is known as a soldier who is dedicated and honest in carrying out his duties. However, since becoming a suspect in the assassination of the president, his life has changed 180 degrees.

Only the judge's decision will determine his fate in the future. Is it true that Park Tae Joo is the mastermind behind the assassination of the president? Then, can Jung In Hoo help his client get justice in court? That will be the main mystery of the film The Land of Happiness. It should be noted that the murder of the South Korean president that was made in this film was inspired by a real event. There was a bloody incident on October 26, 1979, in South Korea, namely the murder of President Park Chung Hee. This case is often made into Korean films.
