Released in 2024, the movie is directed by Zulkarnain Azhar, with a script co-written by Peter Toyat.  Several well-known actors such as Syafiq Kyle, Kamal Adli, Fikry Ibrahim, Anding Indrawani, Eman Manan, and Riezman Khuzaimi also star in this movie. 

Synopsis of Takluk: Lahad Datu


This story tells the heroic struggle of the Malaysian security forces to protect the homeland from the invasion of the Sulu militant group. 

At the time, the group invaded Kampung Tanduo in Lahad Datu in an attempt to claim the territory. This conflict triggered Operation Daulat, a massive military operation conducted to stop the threat.

The operation ended with 56 members of the militant group killed, along with six civilians.  Unfortunately, the struggle also took a toll on the security forces, with 12 of the country's heroes dying on the battlefield. The movie successfully depicts the tensions that took place on the battlefield while highlighting the incredible bravery of the heroes.  With intense and emotionally charged action scenes, “Takluk Lahad Datu” pays tribute to those who have sacrificed to defend the nation's sovereignty.
