SCREENPLAY Films in collaboration with Rapi Films and IFI Sinema has launched the trailer and poster of the latest horror film by director Tommy Dewo, The Devil's Butcher: Dosa Turunan, which will be released in theaters on April 30, 2025.

"In the film The Devil's Butcher: Derivative Dosa, we present a horror that is not only scary but also full of action that makes adrenaline rise and fall," said Screenplay Films producer Wicky V. Olindo.

Synopsis of The Devil's Butcher: Dosa Turunan

The released trailer shows the film The Devil's Butcher: Dosa Turunan, a horror story of a fierce battle between Ningrum and Pakunjara. Pakunjara's presence becomes a threat to residents when a serial murder case always targets the hearts of religious leaders. The trailer also shows the investigative story of a journalist named Daru who uncovers the mastermind behind the mysterious serial murders.

A family is brutally murdered while performing a rukiah on their possessed child. The only survivor is the cleric who performed the rukiah. The murderer is Ningrum (Satine Zaneta), a 19-year-old woman who is being held in a mental hospital because she is suspected of having delusions. Daru (Marthino Lio), is a journalist who is assigned to cover the case. During the interview, Ningrum admitted that she is a demon butcher who entered the world and that the family are the devils used by Pakunjara (Niken Anjani) to resurrect the leader of the devil-worshipping sect.

The battle between Ningrum, the demon butcher, and Pakunjara is inevitable. Daru, who is caught in the middle of the situation, has no choice but to help Ningrum face Pakunjara and the devil who will be resurrected.

The film Devil Butcher: Dosa Turunan stars Satine Zaneta, Marthino Lio, Niken Anjani, and Kiki Narendra. Produced by Wicky V. Olindo, this film is also a sequel to Tommy Dewo, whose debut film last year was a blockbuster.

Previously, Tommy also directed the hit series Serigala Terakhir. Sunil G. Samtani, Sunar Samtani, and Adi Sumarjono are the film's executive producers. "The film The Devil's Butcher: Dosa Turunan explores myths, curses, and rituals that we may not have heard much about or have never heard of before. We researched various local mythologies, black magic, and mysterious phenomena believed in Indonesian culture to create a realistic and gripping world," said Tommy.
