After a three-year wait, the Japanese TV series 'Gannibal' has finally released its second season which will air exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

This thriller series is adapted from the manga by Maasaki Ninomiya with, the same title. Directed by Shinzo Katayama, in this season, Gannibal continues the story of a police officer, Daigo Agawa who investigates strange things in Kuge Village.

In the previous season, the ending of this series was very hanging, namely when the giant from the Goto family attacked Agawa who was about to save the children who would be sacrificed for a dark ritual. Before watching the series, let's see the synopsis and list of players for the series 'Gannibal Season 2' as follows.

Synopsis of Gannibal Season 2

The Gannibal series tells the story of a police officer named Daigo Agawa who is given the task of investigating a remote village, Kuge Village. The village holds many dark secret mysteries that lurk the people in the village. In the village, there is a family who is the mastermind behind the events that occur.

The family is the Goto family who are rumored to be cannibals. Descendants of the Goto family suffer from a disease that makes their bodies much bigger and taller like giants. In its second season, the Gannibal series will present the climax of the feud between the Goto family and Daigo Agawa. In the first season, Daigo managed to uncover a dark secret that had been kept tightly by the Goto family.

However, things changed when something bad happened to Daigo's family, his wife and children have now been captured and taken hostage by the Goto family. In its second season, there will be several additional new cast members involved.
