Synopsis of Muslihat, When an Old Orphanage Becomes a Den of Horror!

The religious horror film Muslihat by director Chairun Nissa will haunt cinema audiences starting April 17, 2025. Producer, Indonesia MaknaKarya Pictures (IM Pictures) released the poster and trailer for the film starring Asmara Abigail, Edward Akbar, and Tata Janeeta.

The film trailer opens with a view of a large house with old architecture in the middle of a remote village that gives the impression of a dark and tense atmosphere when a small child is attacked by a large black snake. One by one, terrors that pound on the heart and challenge the courage begin to emerge. The gloom and tension pound even harder when Tata Janeeta is heard singing the song "Muslihat", which also serves as the official soundtrack for this film.

Synopsis of Muslihat

Muslihat tells the story of the terror of evil forces that attack an orphanage. Jihan (Asmara Abigail) and her sister, Syafa (Ajeng Giona), have just moved to the orphanage, to start a new life after their parents died in a fatal accident.

Unfortunately, it is in the orphanage that their nightmare begins. In the orphanage, strange sounds are often heard at night, children are possessed, and the appearance of a mysterious woman named Shinta (Tata Janeeta) continues to stalk them while humming strange Sundanese songs. Her introduction to Juna (Fatih Unru), a young man at the night market, to the series of terrors that attack Rahma (Jacqueline Immanuela), one of the residents of the orphanage, further deepens the fear.

Gustaf (Edward Akbar) tries to exorcise evil forces with ruqyah. However, his efforts are defeated by the power of the devil that grips Syafa's soul. Jihan is also worried that this method will endanger Syafa.
