The series will be available on the Disney+ Hotstar streaming service. This series is said to be one of the most anticipated shows for mystery thriller drama lovers this year. Carrying the thriller, mystery, and crime genres, Hunter with a Scalpel offers a story full of emotional tension and complex moral struggles. This drama is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Choi Yi Do, with Lee Jung Hoon sitting in the director's chair.

Synopsis of the Drama Hunter with a Scalpel


Tells the journey of Seo Se Hyun (Park Ju Hyun), a genius female forensic expert who works at the Seoul Science Investigation Institute. Behind his genius, Se Hyun hides deep psychological wounds and suffers from antisocial personality disorder.

His seemingly perfect professional life changes drastically when he finds shocking evidence in an autopsy – his own father, Yoon Jo Kyun (Park Yong Woo), is suspected of being the perpetrator of a series of brutal serial murders.

His father is known as a psychopathic killer with a very specific and gruesome execution method. Faced with this reality, Se Hyun experiences great inner conflict. He must choose between upholding justice according to his professional oath or protecting his family's dark secret.

Rather than letting the police uncover everything, he decides to hunt down his father himself. In his efforts, Se Hyun teams up with Jung Jung Hyun (Kang Hoon), a captain of the Yongcheonso violent crimes unit. The two are involved in a tense professional relationship, but also become tied together in the process of finding the truth.

This drama presents not only investigative action and chases, but also an inner battle that tests moral values, family love, and the dark side of humans.
