Prime Video, in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios, announces a new Thai original film titled "Host." This suspenseful supernatural horror film is the first cinematic interpretation of the Thai legend of "Mae Sue," the guardian spirit of newborn babies.
Directed by Pokpong-Pairach Khumwan (Girl from Nowhere, Siam Square), "Host" is set to premiere later this year exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories.
"Host" Synopsis
"Host" follows the story of Ing, a young girl sent to a foster school on a remote island where obedience is the only rule. The school has a strict hierarchy, with the principal's favorite student at the top, while Ing sits at the bottom.
Shortly after Ing's arrival, a series of disturbing events begin to occur. As the events progress, they become increasingly sinister, leading Ing to confront the terrifying question: is she merely a victim of the supernatural events, or is she herself the source of them?
