Riba Synopsis
RIBA tells the story of Sugi, a tobacco farmer who lives a simple life with his wife, two children, and mother-in-law. Their lives change drastically after a tobacco harvest fails, leaving Sugi in debt to a ruthless boss. In desperation, a friend offers a shortcut in the form of the "Getih Anak" (Getih Anak) black magic ritual.
The ritual promises instant wealth, but has dire consequences. After performing the ritual, Sugi's family's financial situation improves, but supernatural terror begins to haunt them. The film depicts the inner conflict, fear, and karmic retribution of human greed that chooses to ally with dark forces.
