The storyline of the movie Alarum focuses on the escape story of two fugitive spy agents who decide to get married and hide in a remote location. However, their quiet life away from the hustle and bustle of the intelligence world did not last long.

It only took the CIA a short time to discover the couple's whereabouts. A series of attacks by intelligence agents then approached their home. Not only the CIA, but many other international spy organizations also targeted the two.

The couple, Joe Travers (Scoot Eastwood) and Laura (Willa Fitzgerlad) are believed to have a hard drive containing a big secret called the flight pill.

Before deciding to retire, they took the hard drive during a plane crash. Later, they realized that the flash drive was wanted by intelligence agencies from various countries.

The mission to eliminate Travers and Laura is further legitimized by their being accused of belonging to a dangerous spy organization called Alarum.

One of those involved in the hunt for Travers and Laura is Chester (Sylvester Stallone). This cold-blooded CIA agent is the one who managed to find the two deserted ex-spies.
