The latest teen horror film titled Fear Street: Prom Queen officially aired on Netflix on May 23, 2025. This film is the fourth part of the Fear Street franchise which is based on the teen horror novel series by R.L. Stine.

Different from the previous trilogy which were interconnected, Prom Queen is presented as a standalone story that highlights the bloody terror in the fictional town of Shadyside in 1988. Directed by Matt Palmer, this film adapts the novel The Prom Queen which was first published in 1992. Production was carried out by Chernin Entertainment and filming took place in Toronto and Hamilton, Canada, from March to May 2024.

Shadyside is known as a small town with a dark past, which is constantly hit by tragedy. This time, the nightmare returns as the prom night of the final year students of Shadyside High is getting closer. Lori Granger, a student who has a mysterious family background, decides to run for prom queen. A typical teenage competition turns into a series of horrific events. One by one, the prom queen candidates begin to mysteriously disappear.

Amidst the glamour of a hopeful prom night, it is revealed that a masked figure is hunting the prom queen candidates. Lori must race against time to uncover the mastermind behind the terror and, more importantly, save herself from the threat of death.

Fear Street: Prom Queen Cast


India Fowler leads the cast as Lori Granger, a fearless teenager forced to grow up faster because of her family's dark past. Suzanna Son plays Megan Rogers, a loyal friend who becomes Lori's emotional support as she deals with the pressures of school.

Fina Strazza stars as Tiffany Falconer, Lori's fierce opponent in the prom queen election. David Iacono stars as Tyler Torres, Tiffany's boyfriend who becomes a suspicious figure amidst the unfolding mystery. Ella Rubin, meanwhile, stars as Melissa, Tiffany's close friend who begins to question her loyalties and choices.

Ariana Greenblatt steals the show as Christy Renault, a mysterious teenager who seems to know more about the school's past tragedy. Debbie Winters and Linda, Tiffany's two best friends are played by Rebecca Ablack and Ilan O'Driscoll.

Claire and Gerald, who openly support Tiffany, are played by Eden Summer Gilmore and Brennan Clost. Cecilia Lee appears as Harmony LaFay, a school journalist who tries to uncover the truth through her writings. Behind the scenes, the presence of Rose Granger (Joanne Boland), Lori's mother, adds emotional elements and depth to the story.

There is also Spider (Joseph Chiu), Megan's witty best friend, and Jimmy (Dale Whibley), Christy's boyfriend who is also dragged into this bloody conflict. Other supporting characters such as DJ Freddie (Tom Keat) enliven the prom atmosphere. Stoker, the mysterious school janitor (Christopher MacCabe), also strengthens the tense atmosphere throughout the film.
