The beginning of 2026 was an exciting time for Indonesian horror film fans. Several Indonesian filmmakers presented new works that didn't rely solely on jump scares but also adapted local stories with a fresh approach. One title that caught the attention was Penunggu Rumah: Buto Ijo, a horror film inspired by the Timun Mas folk legend, with a modern twist and a dark, oppressive atmosphere. Depicting the figure of Buto Ijo, a familiar figure from childhood fairy tales, this film seeks to break that classic image. Synopsis of The Accountant 2
The Accountant 2 will continue the story of Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck), a genius accountant who is also an expert in solving complex problems, both on paper and in the field. In this film, Wolff's previously calm life is disturbed again after an old acquaintance is found mysteriously dead. Before he died, the person left hidden clues that indirectly pointed to Wolff, as if entrusting the case to him.
Feeling something is wrong and driven by a sense of responsibility, Wolff decides to investigate the death. However, the deeper he digs, the greater the danger that lurks. Realizing that this is no ordinary case, he contacts his estranged brother, Brax (Jon Bernthal) a tough and dangerous man with a dark past. Although their relationship is complicated, they work together again to uncover the truth.
Not only that, Wolff also collaborates with Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai Robinson), Deputy Director of the US Treasury Department who once worked with him. Together, they trace the trail of a large conspiracy involving hidden and risky powers. In the process, they become hunted by a group of assassins who are willing to do anything to keep their dark secrets buried forever, including killing.
